Congratulations to Sylvie for racing in the Baan-Trainingswedstrijd 9 at the Ireen Wust Oval in Tilburg, Netherlands and Isaiah for competing in Canada Cup #3 in Fort St John this past weekend!

Upcoming Meet Entries: 

BC Short Track Championships – Abbotsford (March 3-4th, 2018)

BCST will be open to Provincial Stream and Performance Stream skaters. Eligible skaters include Learn
to Train (L2T) and older skaters, who have achieved each (of the respective) times in a sanctioned
competition during the 2017-2018 season prior to February 26th, 2018. Please see Coach Sandi if you have any questions about eligibility.

In preparation for the BC Short Track, the Coyotes who have qualified are welcome to join the Wednesday night ice time from 7:30 – 9:00 pm.  Be there promptly at 7:00 for mats.  The Coyotes who have not attained their times but are making another attempt in Vernon next weekend, are also welcome to skate on Wednesday.

We are still looking for skaters to help with a speed skating demonstration at the outdoor rink at Sun Peaks on February 17 from 5:00-5:30 pm, followed by Public Skating until 7:00pm. Please see Jodi/Tyler if you are interested.

The club will be placing another order for Kamloops Long Blades speed skating team jackets in early February.
These are the black jackets that several members already wear.

Cost includes taxes and full embroidery (chest, back & first name on sleeve): 50% downpayment will be required to secure your order (payable to Kamloops Long Blades)

Do you have a skinsuit with a hole or need a zipper repaired? Gail will be picking up skinsuits on Mondays and bringing them to Carla’s Alterations. Please see Gail at practice if you are interested!

Don’t forget to wish Rebecca, Cameron, Leah and Martina GOOD LUCK as they will be leaving for Québec City later this week for the Canadian Age Class Long Track Championships!
